Using SMS-Mailbox as Marketing Tool

SMS-Mailbox can be used as a marketing tool to assist you in your marketing endeavors.  Enabling you to send single messages, reminders, and alerts, it is the ideal tool for your marketing campaign.

Sending SMS Reminders to Outlook^® Contacts

An SMS reminder works similar to a Outlook^® reminder; you can use it to remind anyone about an appointment, meeting or task. An SMS reminder is sent with the information (appointment, meeting or task) at the time, to the recipients you specify .

To send a reminder using Outlook^®:

1. Click the SMS Reminder button.

2. Click the To button to select the Outlook^® contact you want to send an reminder to. Alternatively, you can type the contact’s mobile number in the To field.

3.  To send the message to more than one recipient, separate the numbers with a comma.

Note: Ensure that the country code precedes the mobile number (both in the address book or when you enter the number).

4.  Type your user name in the User Name field.

5. In the message area, type the message you want to send. A message can have up to 160 characters. The Characters field tracks the number of characters in your message as you type.

6. Select the appropriate date in the Reminder Date field.

7.  Select the appropriate time in the Reminder Time field.

8.  Click the Send button.

9.   This creates a calendar event on the date and time specified.

10. On the given date and time, this event will display a reminder as shown below.

Sending SMS Alerts to Mobile Number

You can set alerts to notify you when you receive an email. You can specify when you receive alerts:

• Email from a specific user.

• Email that contains specific words in the subject

• Email that contains specific words in the message body.

Once set, all such alerts are delivered to your mobile phone.

To send SMS alerts to a mobile phone:

1. Click Tools > Options.

2. Click the SMSCountry tab.

3. Type the relevant information in the following fields.

   • Mobile Number

   • User Name

4.      Set the required criteria in the following fields:

• Select the Mails From checkbox and specify the email ID in the field.

• Select the Subject checkbox and specify the text in the field.

• Select the Mail Body Contains checkbox and specify the text in the field.

You can also select a combination of these options by selecting the And/Or options in the dropdown fields.

5.      Click OK.

When an email with the parameters you specified arrives in your email, you will receive an alert on your mobile phone.
