Step 1: Create an account on SMSCountry

Sign up on the SMSCountry website.

Step 2: Connect your SMSCountry account with your WordPress website

To do this, log into your WordPress account.

Step 3: Install the SMSCountry plugin

Go to the WordPress account dashboard. Click “plugins” in the left panel and click “add new”.

Search for SMSCountry in the search bar and install the plugin.

Step 4: Access your WordPress dashboard

Head over to your dashboard and hover over WooCommerce.

There will be a drop-down menu. Click on “SMSCountry” from the menu.

Step 5: Enter SMSCountry’s general details  

After clicking on SMSCountry, it redirects you to general settings.

Add your SMSCountry username and login password, as shown in the screenshot below.

After filling in the password, enter your SMSCountry specified details.

It includes:

  • Sender ID: Enter the ID given to the sender for sending the SMS
  • Site title: Enter Your WordPress site title for which you leverage SMS plugin integration in WordPress
  • Admin email notification: Enter the email address of the website’s admin to enable the email testing of integration
  • Admin mobile: Enter the admin’s contact number for SMS testing

  • Check the ‘box’ to activate the SMS template when a new customer registers on your WordPress website.

Step 8: Click ‘Sign Up for Verification’ to verify the customer’s mobile number

The next step is to verify the customer’s mobile number for security and confirmation. 

Follow the same procedure and enter details as you did for the sign up template process that is:

  • Activate the SMS
  • Type Message Format
  • Select Placeholders
  • Enter Mobile Number

Step 9: Click on sign-up to verify existing users’ mobile number

To send a random code through the SMS plugin for WordPress, check the box to activate the plugin.

Write the message thread as you want and enter placeholders for customisation.  Lastly, enter the customer/user’s mobile number for sending the message. After that, save the settings.

Step 10: Set up confirmation SMS for a new order placed

Activate the plugin by clicking on the box. Type the message format to confirm the new order placed by the customer.

Use placeholders from the list by simply copying them to the clipboard.

Enter the mobile number and click on test SMS to send the message.

Step 11: Setup confirmation SMS for return order

For sending messages using the SMS plugin for WordPress, click on the box to activate the plugin.

Write the message format for the customer. You can select the placeholders from the given list.

 Enter the customer’s mobile number and save the settings.

Step 12: Send SMS using the plugin for the order status changed

To inform the customer of the order status, execute it with the following procedure:

  • Enable the plugin by clicking on the check box to activate.
  • Type the message format for the change in order status purpose.

  •  Activate the plugin by clicking on the box.
