Step-by-step guide on setting up SMSCounty Tally SMS plugin

Step 1: Create an account on SMSCountry
Sign up on the SMSCountry website.
If you already have a SMSCountry account, skip to the next step.
Step 2: Get the Tally Installation File
To get the SMSCountry tally SMS plugin (TCP file), you need to contact one of SMSCountry’s executives.
Step 3: Copy the TCP file to Tally
Ensure you have the Tally software installed on your PC. Then, copy the TCP file to the Tally folder or any common folder accessible from Tally.
Step 4: Open the Tally Software
After you open the Tally software, move to the right part of the screen where the company info box is, and Select ‘company info’.
Step 5: Search for SMS
You will see a dialog box showing ‘path’ and ‘name’. Type in ‘’SMS’ in the name field, and click on the SMS result.
Step 6: Select product and features
After clicking the SMS result, you will see the configuration box. Select ‘product and features’ from the list.
Step 7: Manage local TDLs
In the ‘product and features’ screen, you can either press the F4 key on your keyboard or click the option on the upper right of your screen.
Step 8: TDL configuration
On the TDL configuration screen, change the ‘load TDLs on startup’ status to ‘yes’.
Minimise the tally software. Afterwards, go to your documents, open your TCP folder, and change the directory name from C:\TCP to C:\TCP\TallySMS.tcp.
Copy the new directory name, open your Tally software and paste it into the “list of TDLs to preload on tally startup’‘.
After that, click the enter key and select ‘yes’ to accept and save the changes.
Step 9: Configure features
On the screen where you can see ‘Gateway of Tally’, you will notice that the SMS module option is not enabled.
You can access the ‘Company Features’ box by clicking the F11 key or manually selecting the F11 features’ option on the lower right corner of your screen.
Step 10: Select accounting features
Select accounting features from the options. A new screen will appear.
Scroll to ‘Enable SMS configuration’, and change the ‘Enable SMS user configuration’ to yes.
Step 11: Complete the SMS user configuration form
After enabling user configuration, you will see a form with an Auth key, Auth token, and Sender ID fields.
You can copy and paste the information from the important.txt file into your installation file.
Step 12: Enable automatic SMS
Under SMS management, change the ‘Enable automatic SMS’ on the accounting features page to ‘yes’. A new page will come up.
Step 13: Configure automatic SMS
You can select any voucher type you want to add to your automatic selection.
You can also input the mobile numbers of the contacts you want to send the SMS to.
After that, click the enter key and select ‘yes’ to save and accept the changes.
You’ll receive a pop-up message saying you have completed the SMS gateway configuration.
Step 14: Select inventory features
Go to the home screen and select inventory features in the company feature box. You can see that the SMS module is now available.
Step 15: Edit company info
To edit company info, press F3 or go to the far right of your screen and select F3:CMP info. After you have done that, select the ‘alter’ option.
On the new screen, choose SMS. You can change the base currency symbol and a couple of other things.
After that, click the enter key and select ‘yes’ to save and accept the changes.
Step 16: Return to the Configuration page
Press the F12 button or select the configure option at the lower right of your screen.
Select the ‘general’ option. You can change the naming styles and date formats on the new page.
